Midnight Hare

A blink of black
against the white
is leaving tracks
across the night.

On frozen fields
here and there,
the poem of
a midnight hare.

  1. Thanks for the poems! I love the words "A blink of black" and the thought that what we do leaves marks, which become the poems we write with our lives.

  2. Love both of these, Matt - especially the imagery of 'coral claws in star-spiked seas' and the 'blink of black'!
